"I'm a country girl at heart. I grew up on a ranch and would love someday to go back to that simple lifestyle. I'm looking for someone who will truly enjoy spending time with me, who will value me and my opinion, and who will long to talk to me every day and be my partner. I'm guess I'm kind of an old fashioned girl who is looking for a gentleman.
I have great friends, an amazing son and feel very blessed with all . I'm active and very energetic. I love country dancing, gardening, photography, a game of gin or two, old movies and more. I am 63 but most people say I don't look it. I love doing "outside" things. I think I have a great sense of humor. I would love to learn to swing a golf club but don't mind riding with you while you play! I have an open mind and am willing to try new things as I might be missing something fun. I love the Mavericks, the Cowboys and the Rangers. I enjoy going to the games and love Sunday afternoon football.
I am looking to find that guy that I can peacefully enjoy life with. I am not interested in any drama. If you're a player or perpetual dater then I'm probably not your girl. I am looking for "the one". I want to find the guy who want's to learn everything about me, who wants to be my knight in shining armor. No, it's not about me needing to be rescued. It's about the guy who loves me with all my faults, who can accept me as I am, someone who is trustworthy and who has character and integrity and who wants to make me happy. I grew up believing that a man's word was the most valuable thing he could ever offer. I still believe that.As I have matured in life I am much more certain of the things that are really important to me. I am rarely jealous of other people or the "things" they may have.... except when I see a couple who truly love each other, who touch each other with genuine affection, who would never jeopardize their relationship, who just know that the other person is the partner forever. That, my friends, is the thing I'm searching for.I'm sure that will scare some of you away! I heard it said in a movie once that the lady was looking for her "love story". Well, I'm looking for mine. I've often been happy, but I've never had that true love story... maybe I've never had that mutual true love story. Maybe my hopes and dreams are unrealistic - but I hope not. I'm just not ready to give up on those dreams. I'm curious about the guy that God may put in my life to lead me and share life with me in the way that a true relationship should be. I'm looking for the man who can be supportive, encouraging, and who has such a sense of self that he's not afraid to be proud of what I may accomplish.
I am a woman who believes that being "lead" by a man is better than being to be "pushed" by one. I hope I'm reasonable in my expectations and have always been that person who gave much more than I got. I long for the security of knowing that I'm where I am supposed to be, with who I'm supposed to be with.
Although I live in town now, my perfect world (or at least as I see it today) would be a small country place with a few acres, at least one dog, a few head of cattle, a glass of wine and a big porch with rocking chairs to watch the sun set. My family had championship cutting horses. I guess as we grow up we go back to our roots. I love the sounds, sights and smells of the country.
My favorite weekend is a short trip to San Antonio or Fredericksburg. I haven't had the opportunity to travel much but believe I would love it. I like back road drives with good conversation. An avid photographer, I especially enjoy taking photos of old barns, old houses, fields of wild flowers and more.I've tried to express my heartfelt thoughts and dreams. If these desires mesh with yours please let me know.
