Took up the game of golf 30 years ago. My dad and brother are both golfers, so I decided if I ever wanted to spend any time with either one of them, I would at least have to learn how to swing a club! Once I tried it, I fell in love with the sport. It allows you to compete against yourself to achieve your own personal best, but you meet so many like-minded individuals when you are out on the course. I love walking courses, as you can really get a feel for the different holes and how they are laid out. I was a gymnast in high school and college, but knew that I was going to have to find another sport that was not quite so hard on the body..golf has been, and continues to be, a perfect match for me.
