A man looking for a friend, girlfriend, or life-long partner to play along on the back nine of life and join me in the 19th hole. I'll be patient in hopes of finding the right pairing.
I have 3 adult children with lives of their own. All in their 30s. I am a proud empty nester with no regrets about my failures. I've had a few. Each made me a better man. I've also had some success. If I can bat better than 500 I guess I’m doing. Life can be simple but it is never easy.
I turn 60 in November so I have a lot of time left to enjoy this journey. I thought this site was unique given its focus on pairing up golfers. Golf is a good common interest for two people to get to know each other.
I like to do other things too. I work out routinely and walk a few rounds of golf when it’s convenient. I have a remote-control caddie that carries the bag. I also like to hike, the arts, wine tastings, museums, dinner parties and I like to cook (although I’m probably a hacker in the kitchen). I enjoy NFL football but only on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. I like Saturday Game Day and watching college football. I’m a fan of several teams for many reasons but I always follow TCU football.
Life is a journey. We never stop finding adventure.
My idea of a first date is playing 9 holes as two people enjoying the game of golf. At the turn, we can decide if we want to play another nine together and learn even more about each other. No hard feelings if we agree we are not for each other. BTY, I’m an average golfer who strives for improvement.
If we do play 18 holes and we have fun together, then we can decide where to go for dinner.
