I do like to golf, and as a new retiree I guess there's more of it in my near-term future.
My goal here is to meet someone who plays a fair amount of golf (ability is not so important as simply wanting to play, plus a good attitude. I'm not a club thrower and don't take it ultra-seriously). I'd prefer someone who's in shape and takes care of themselves.
As background, I'm a former national editor for the Assoc. Press so journalism and newspapers are close to my heart. My two adult children live in Chicago and St. Paul, MN respectively. In my newly-minted spare time, I like to cook (maybe a B- grade at it), write, exercise and fish the low country salt marshes from my kayak.
While I live in Charlotte, my clubs know the way to the trunk of my car so I'm not opposed to a drive to courses in NC or SC.
